  In my opinion, it is still the best Pho place. Place is a little dirty and needs some upkeep. Prices are decent. Its second floor so a little out of the way for seniors and parents with strollers. No elevator.

  A ton of options to choose from and everything I've tried so far is delicious. What keeps me coming back is the variety of milkshakes they serve; green bean is my favourite.

  Service could improve... maybe they don't have to throw the watery dipping sauce on the table so hard that it spills everywhere?

  This is the type of place that you come to knowing that the service will be bad, but the food makes up for it big time. The spring rolls are absolutely delicious and the pho/vermicelli bowls are excellent. Although I am not the biggest fan of the type of noodle they use in the vermicelli bowls it is still quite good.
  
  Loss of star because they don't include fish sauce when you order Vermicelli bowls. When you do ask for fish sauce you get balked at and often wait 10-15 minutes and have to ask several servers to bring it out.

  I like going to Pho Xe Lua because the noodles served are fresh. This makes a difference in texture and taste. The beef pho broth is decent; it's not the best but it isn't terrible either. The noodle + meat to soup ratio is pretty good.
  
  I've also had the 7 dishes of beef here. It was good and definitely can feed 1-3 people (depending on how hungry everyone is).
  
  Staff here are generally friendly. Service here is good. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. It's in a great location too -- streetcar is nearby and street parking is available as well.
