  Obviously not five star dining. But a very cozy and easy going place to have food that feels like home. Service is great, atmosphere is quaint and relaxed, and the food is actually quite good although a bit basic. Very happy with my visit and would definitely come back.

  The staff here has been pretty hit or miss over the years. Have loved some waitresses and have hated others. Everything else is standard.

  The staff and atmosphere are a little too laid-back. Service, though adequate, doesn't show they care.
  It's SC, though, and I wish they'd just put the quarter-chicken alone on the menu and stop farting around with the damn brand. It's Swiss Chalet, mofos. Let. It. Be. Swiss. Chalet.

  Wait staff are always very down to earth and friendly. This is definitely a family focused restaurant.
  
  There has been changes that are not too impressive over the years. They got rid of the kids' mini burgers and the fish and chips from the main menu, added tasteless roast beef and have reduced the size of the starter Caesar salad to half of what they used to serve. (Waitress did confirm that the salad had been reduced in size when I questioned her.) I don't know if this is a specific location decision or an overall franchise decision but I'm not impressed.
  
  I want to support local businesses but sometimes I just have to give up on them.

  Sauce is great. The rest of the food is fairly pedestrian. Price is decent.
