  Good comfort food and great service. The space could be a bit more modern and in keeping with the menu and vibe... Nice stop for a Sunday afternoon nevertheless!

  We wondered into Leslieville from Woodbine Beach and were drawn into Skwish by the eclectic tapas menu. We were hungry and the place was pretty empty so we thought this would mean fast service. This was not the case. In total it took us 3.5 hours from start to finish - even with much prompting of our server and even going to the bar to pay in order to reduce any further delays. The server was inefficient - inappropriately flirty, touching one or both of us each time he came to our table.
  The food was unfortunately mediocre at best, aside from the fried chicken and waffles (which was great) our other tapas where all served cold or lukewarm at best, and were not very flavourful. Jerk Fish Tacos with no flavour?!? In total we ordered 5 tapas and although we could have eaten more, we paid our bill and left to avoid further disappointment.

  I attended at an early dinner hour of about 5ish on this Saturday past. We assumed because of the early time that's why no one else was there - we were wrong. I think they knew better than we did. We were starving after many hours walking and a long day. We hoped that empty meant immediate and attentive service - we were wrong again. Service was extremely slow and required lots of prompting and waiting on our part. (at the end we even went over to the bar to pay so we could leave without even more delay) They had only one server to run the whole show on a Saturday - maybe they don't expect to get busy? We had to wait through unneeded delays - why not take our food order while dropping off drinks if we are ready and the ONLY folk in your establishment?
  Service aside the food was mediocre at best - and keep in mind we were super hungry! If we weren't it probably would be an even worse experience. All tapas were delivered to us lukewarm to cold. Perhaps they sat before our server brought them over?
  Flavor was also lacking. Ahi tuna was over cooked, lamb skewers were bland and served cold (lamb must be hot), the ribs were extremely dry and seemed overcooked or reheated - also served cold. The fish tacos were again lacking in flavour and inspiration. Nothing seemed very fresh and specially prepared for us - even though it took ages to get food and service. We did not complain and tipped kindly and left but I would not be able to say I recommend this place or would go back. With so many other yummy options around I regretted this choice.
  PS - $4 for a glass of ginger ale is a bit much guys

  Absolutely delicious food. My friend and I went several weeks ago on a Saturday evening. I had the 8oz Sirloin which was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! We had brought our own bottle of wine. The desert was fantastic and our server was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is great and has a very welcoming warm vibe to it! Will definitely be returning! I don't always frequent the beaches but I will now since coming to Skwish!
