  The drinks and barmaid were great, but the steak was very under-par for all the attention they get in the city. It was done perfectly, but had no taste. I had to ask for some of their seasoning and salt to give it some flavor. Maybe make this your second choice?

  What can you say about Barbarian's that hasn't already been said? The place is quiet, sophisticated gem tucked around the corner from the busiest (and gaudiest) intersections in the city.
  
  The decor is as old school as it gets and I couldn't love it any more. The service staff are true career servers who pride themselves on excellent service. You are always great by more than one happy face and your waiter or waitress will be kind, knowledgeable or professional.
  
  The food is outstanding. Everything I've ever had here is delicious. I highly recommend the burger for lunch or splitting the rib steak for 2 for dinner. Their whiskey/scotch list is no joke either. Even though the bar is small and packed tight near the entrance they have some great options.

  Very cosy and friendly place. Food is excellent. My steak was done to perfection. Staff is very conscientious and friendly. John was our server and did an excellent job.

  Our favourite steakhouse in Toronto. All the food is great (maybe not the salad but that's not what you come here for). The wine list is extensive. Service and ambiance are great). Old-timey, not modern. And as far as steakhouses go, the prices are not too bad.

  Always had great steak here! Would recommend the baked potato as a side over fries and rice. They also make a great banana split of you are still hungry! Last but not least is the great service you get!
