  Tom yum soup was pretty good and close to authentic. Service was quick and polite. I would come here again for a quick bite. The place is unassuming.

  Drinks were pretty bland, food not much better. My friend found a hair in her food but the waitress never came to check on us so it sat in front of her for 45 minutes before we got offered more food. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes for the replacement which we ended up just giving to a homeless person. Terrible service. Won't be back.

  Extremely terrible experience! Came here in the afternoon. Not a lot of people in the restaurant. First waited around 7 min for someone to come and direct us to a table. Then they took around 10 min to come and take our order despite repeated requests. After many inquiries and a good 58 minutes of waiting the very unprofessional and lazy waitress comes to our table and says just wanted to confirm if you ordered green curry? When I clearly ordered pad Thai noodles with tiger prawns. I got up. Thanked her for the 'wonderful' experience her highness imparted upon us and took my leave. Her highness, the esteemed waitress didn't even care to apologize. Will never recommend anyone this place. Absolutely despicable.

  Fantastic food and a great price dinner for 2. The red curry was awesome. And the pad Thai was great. Good food. Good service. Good price.
  Seating is a little close together though. Had to change the tone of our conversation when another couple sat close next to us

  Go to a local grocery store, grab a pack of any type of instant noodles, make it at home with no effort, it will still taste way better than pad Thai from Thai basil. It was absolutely bad, actually the worst Thai food that I have tried in Toronto, don't go here, even if there is no restaurants open but Thai basil is the only option, I would definitely choose to be hungry rather than eating here again.
  
  Bit of details
  
  1. Tiger prowns were tiny, it actually was different type of shrimp that doesn't grow big
  2. Chicken was old, tasted bad
  3. Curry doesn't come with rice
  4. Curry was salty and the bowl of rice that I bought was small, meaning it was badly planned dish
  5. Their Pad Thai is ketchup base, I only tasted ketchup, nothing else, too much noodles but not so much of veggies or meat, Basically noodles + ketchup, $13 for this?
  
  P.s. how come the lowest rating i can give is one star? They definitely don't deserve even one star.
  
  A restaurant like Thai basil shouldn't be able to survive, serving bad food is a total insult to customers.
