  Cupcakes are good but custom cake did not deliver.
  
  I was told I could order a cake that had the same flavour as any of their cupcakes so, I ordered the chocolate peanut butter. The cake that I received did not have chocolate ganache which is stated in the description of the cupcake online. I was not informed that there was a difference when I made my order. I was asked if I wanted the icing on the outside to be white. I said it didn't matter as long as it didn't effect the flavour of the cake since I wanted chocolate peanut peanut for the flavours. I was assured that it wouldn't so I opted for the white since I was told my design would stand out better. However the taste was certainly altered. The white icing was just kinda gross. It didn't have any flavour, not even vanilla, and was just overly sweet. I had to scrape it off when I ate the cake.
  
  Peanut butter icing layers inside were good and cake was moist but, all around disappointing. I will be going somewhere else in the future.

  This place fails being a cake bakery. Once I wanted to buy a cake for my birthday a week before it. And the girl behind the counter seemed hesitate about my request and told me they might not be able to do it and went to the back asking a lady. (Maybe my request was too rush or this was really not a birthday cake place) She came back and told me they didn't do birthday cakes. I was like...WAT?! I didn't ask any fancy designed cake.. I just wanted a cake with white chocolate on it. She didn't even asked me what kinda of cake I wanted and offered me an excuse which left no point for me to ever come back again... Sigh~~~

  Extremely over priced for low quality. Stale cake, icing was cheap and ingredients used were clearly cheap. I'm very disappointed considering this shop is in such a nice area. $60 was a rip off!! Awful taste the hazelnut cake.

  Asked for a quote for a cake... got this response (and he spelled my name wrong... plus another spelling mistake below):
  
  "Thanks for your enquiry. For the Love of Cake uses premium products and top notch designers and that being said our pricing will be higher than others. Good Luck with your event and I hope it all works out for you."
  
  For a "premium product" and "top notch designers", your customer service is lacking.
