Reviews about Kyouka Ramen
- 4 / 5By Jessica LauI had the dipping ramen and I enjoyed it a lot. The ramen was well made with a good bounce to it. I also loved how I could choose how much fat to have in my broth. My husband had the artichoke ramen and the broth was very tasty as well.May 11, 2017

- 4 / 5By Caroline KwongIt's a nice small restaurant. The food comes out quickly and it's decently priced. The ramen is just what you need on a cold, wet dreary day.December 31, 2016
- 5 / 5By Herohi OngMy favourite bowl of noodles out of all the places I have tried in and outside of Toronto (and I include Tokyo and New York in this list). Been to most of the big names around downtown Toronto as well but Kyouka stands out.
The house Kyouka Ramen is extremely flavourful. Chef Kenji uses black garlic and duck fat in the broth that gives it a wonderful richness that isn't too heavy. The noodles have the right thickness and consistency as well and the "fixins" like the egg and roast meats are also consistently tasty.
The limited edition soupless ramen is one of my all time favorites restaurant dishes. Instead of the soup (hence, soupless), Kenji uses a bit of oil and a touch of sauce to provide the flavour. I was skeptical at first but have kept going back for this dish when available. I believe they have it each April and October.
The third dish that I almost always order is the tendon rice. Chunks of stewed tendon over rice makes for a fantastic appetizer.
Service is very good of course as the chef's crank out bowls of noodles efficiently and the servers move the patrons along quickly. The place is fairly tiny and has limited seating.August 09, 2016
