It's an open secret that the Gardiner is a great alternative to the ROM, especially if you're into ceramics, or not into crowds. Right across from the ROM, it's a smaller, more focused museum that offers great exhibits year round. Top floor is a rotating exhibit, 2nd floor is European/Asian and 1st floor is ancient/contemporary. Saw their 10 different new age Christmas trees last week for the first time which was cute. Definitely worth a visit for locals and tourists alike!

Love going to this place for drop-in clay classes! They offer both hand-building and wheel throwing options, though the latter is more popular so you have to get there early to get seats! The museum is great too, although I wish they had more frequent special exhibits

I stopped in here on a whim while I was visiting Toronto. It's a cool little museum dedicated to the ceramic arts ranging from ancient indigenous American pottery to the modern. Unfortunately, they did not have a special exhibit going on while I was there, but there was plenty of things to see in permanent exhibits. Definitely worth checking out if you have a few hours to spare.

Very friendly staffs! Ceramic workshop is fun, although the way to get ticket is not... Come early to get your ticket, the line is pretty long.

They offer very good courses in the history of ceramics but undercut their scientific credibility with a new-age spirituality preface.
