Reviews about Dr. Laffa Restaurant
- 3 / 5By Richard SimpsonThe food was excellent but I wasn't a fan of the condition of the restaurant. However I may give them the benefit of the doubt as it was late in the evening in the winter. A second try will verify.May 30, 2017

- 3 / 5By Uzo OgbueVery busy, very big, very bland.
Dr. Laffa came heavily recommended to me and I was excited at the possibility of ending the good Shawarma-like sandwich drought plaguing Toronto. Before I continue, yes, I know it is NOT Lebanese shawarma and I'm not judging it as such.
Right away upon entering the establishment, I was already impressed by the amount of people excited to get their Laffa. The staff was friendly and quick to take orders and fulfill them. This would be my first Laffa but I was prepared for a soft delicious bread similar to naan and with that expectation, I was not disappointed. Unfortunately however that could not be said about the ingredients that made the rest of my sandwich. The chicken (I had the chicken shawarma) was very bland and the only hint of it's presence was the burnt pieces. Perhaps it was because I didn't include pickles but I couldn't really taste anything else. I thought it was a nice touch to add chips(fries) in the sandwich as I'd never tried that before but it wasn't enough to warrant trying it again. All this to say... "Meh"October 08, 2016 - 1 / 5By Romy CanadaThis shouldn't be called shawarma or falafel lol there's no flavour whatsoever and it's not authentic middle eastern food. Lots of great Lebanese and Iraqi shawarma around and you'll pay half the price. The whole big deal is about baking their own bread here but they'll charge you and arm and leg for it.July 28, 2016
