  Sorry to say that I was disappointed. I'm from the north of England so have had my fair share of fish and chips. The haddock was dry and tough on the edges - may have been a frozen fillet and but fresh. And the mushy peas had what tasted like black pepper and were too runny.

  Amazing Halibut and chips!!! Everything is so fresh and the batter is crispy, not greasy at all and just the right thickness. Would visit over and over and over again. My new favorite place.

  1st impression: shocked by 19 dollars for halibut fish and chips... 2nd impression: shocked by the half piece of halibut I paid 19 bucks for... 3rd impression: the portion is actually much bigger than meets the eye... yes it looks like a half cut but the thickness of the fish is at least twice that of what you normally get else where and wider... 4th impression: when u bite into the fish it is chunky and meaty and most important of all very fresh... the batter is not thick and almost feels like part of the fish skin... overall impression: with a small drink it's abt 25 bucks so it's not a place I would go everyday or every week but once in a while when I'm in the neighbourhood, is considerable...

  Never in the area so made it a point to go as i love the food. Ate in front of open kitchen watching owner and server cook and prep food in front. While i was eating, owner was unclogging sink with stick... No gloves. When he finished he simply did a quick rinse with water and returned to battering fish with his bare hands. He didnt care i was watching. The kitchen is disgustingly dirty and disorganized. He reused the same cutlery repeatedly. He proceeded to batter fish, make a sandwich, rinsed hands and cutlery with a lil water then started making dessert for another customer. Never going back. Beware. Im surprised no one is getting sick. Worker dipped a fork in some chilli condiments and snacked on it.
