  Aunties & Uncles is my favourite brunch in the city. Consistently great, homey brunch at cheap prices in a cutesy-kitschy converted house. Cash only. Friendly, attentive service. Delicious homemade ketchup & challah included with most plates. (It's the little things guys!!!) I almost always get the omelette of the day because I'm never disappointed. Be forewarned- you probably shouldn't come on the weekend, unless it's at opening or you're a masochist.

  Went there on Saturday late morning so I knew it was gonna be busy. Waited by the door looking for someone to give my name to knowing it was gonna be a wait. Waited a few minutes before I was greeted by a hostess who didn't give the best first impression of the place. She said it would be a 35 minute wait and it ended up being a bit more than an hour. After that, we were seated and given menus. I wasn't sure what to get since it was my first time coming here and was suggested the pancakes. When I received the pancakes, they were greasy, burnt on the bottom and didn't have much flavour. The server didn't come back to check on how we were doing or if we wanted refills on our beverages. I will not be coming back here. A pro of this place is the decor.

  I have been coming for breakfast at Aunties and Uncles weekly for over ten years and the quality has been consistently good. Aunties & Uncles were cooking all their own food and making their own sauces long before that became a thing. The specials are always the best.

  I don't understand why this place is so hyped. We went there after hearing good things about it on a fine Saturday morning. There was a huge line and we had to wait for 45 minutes before getting a place (further inflating the hype).
  
  We ordered the usual omelates and stuff since we didn't want to eat the special burger in the morning,the food was nothing special or extraordinary. There is a very hipster ambiance to it, perhaps that's the attraction? Coz the food certainly wasn't worth the wait.
