  For the money you will not get a Better Steak for the price!! Always consistent quality; Steak & Eggs and blueberry pancakes make for a wonderful weekend brunch!
  Only complaint is that I couldn't order a la cart; just wanted 1 pancake.
  Highly recommended!!!!!

  I love that this restaurant is so close to where I live. The food consistently exceeds my expectations and prices are very fair. Portions are filling and the service actually feels like service. The staff are utterly professional - some of the best waiters/waitresses you'll find anywhere. The Tulip is my go-to and after 25+ visits, I have yet to be let down. I've taken friends/family and have yet to hear any complaints. While it may not be a flashy place, it certainly has substance!

  It looks like a diner that incidentally serves steak in addition to diner food, rather than being a steakhouse, despite its name.
  
  The meat was decent and properly prepared. The french fries were better than average. The salad was passable, but how much can you do with some lettuce and a slice of tomato. The ambiance was unimpressive. The prices were only slightly lower than what you get at The Keg. That is why overall, it is just okay.
  
  A major downfall was that the complimentary bread was simply already buttered slices of cold regular bread. In order to be a real steakhouse, you must have fresh warm bread...and even better if it is garlic bread.
  
  It is also in one far corner of Toronto, so not very conveniently located for the vast majority of GTA residents, myself included. It took me almost an hour to get there at dinner time (and half an hour to return home at night). If the restaurant was next door, I might go back, but it is not worth two hours on the road.
