  I absolutely love this place. The food is always top notch, service is fantastic. I've never sat downstairs before but have walked into the back kitchen to talk to her wife to ask about something... so kind. Great atmosphere and decorations as well, quite rustic. I hate the stairs going up though... way too narrow and scary. Wish there was a washroom upstairs.

  Came here with another couple and we had an amazing meal! Set course menu makes it easy and staff were quick to verify if there were any allergies. Even though they laid out the menu for us, each dish came with an explanation and was well presented.
  
  Come here if:
  -you want to try great food made with local ingredients
  -you enjoy good wine pairings
  -you enjoy a non-rushed dining experience (meal time was at 6:30, left around 9:15)
  -you like family style dinners
  
  Don't come here if:
  -you are a very picky eater
  -you are vegan (they like their meat and cheese!)
  -you are in a rush
  -you aren't willing to spend a bit more than your average dinner
  -don't like being charged a small amount for water (was kind of weird, but we didn't mind)
  
  Keep in mind that they have their menu for the week posted on their website so you can browse to see which day's menu interests you the most.

  3 people in for dinner on an a Saturday night. The food was amazing and the service was great. We sat at the back and it was a little loud, but I am also a little older so take that with a grain of salt. I was very impressed with how our waiter asked if there were any food allergies or such and when I mentioned that I wasn't a big fan of dill he went out of his way to see if he could have one of the dishes without. Sure enough we had part of the dish without dill. Such a great experience, I will for sure come back again.

  One of my favourite restaurants in Toronto! What stands out the most to me is the quality of the food. Everything is family style and the menu changes daily depending on what's in season, locally. If you're not driving, consider the wine pairing menu. Can't get enough of this place and can't wait to go back!

  Atmosphere was great. Service was excellent. Glass was never empty. Food was exceptional. Beautifully presented. Perfectly portioned. Timing between meals was good.
