  Cons: Only ever seen one server on so service is slow, this is not the servers fault. Beer is often off taste but the keg lines are very short so this is weird. Have been sick from the food several times over the years but I keep trying it for some reason. Finally, there is a tap studio above so you get people attempting to keep a beat periodically and there is no music played so you hear everything.
  
  Pros: They renovated after a fire some years back and It went from homey to clean lines. They have a nice patio. Very convenient location for countless apartments and condos that surround it.
  
  I really want this place to do well because it is the neighbourhood pub but there are some fundamental issues that need to be addressed by the owner for this place to be sucessful. Primarily volume.
  
  This neighbourhood has rallied around this place before (my parents used to go in their youth) and the lantern was a busy hub. It would be nice to see that return. Maybe they just need an experienced and present manager who can promote the restaurant, their party room, be present with guests and work with the community to get that loyalty back. Also, to make sure the quality of service, food quality and liquer is always delivered.

  Breakfast brunch here was great. Food isnt greasy at all and flavourful. Portions are generous as well. The options are also good with decent pricing starting at $10-15 but well worth it. The service is also good. A good low key, spacious place to go with TVs all around.
