  Typical for a bar, it was rather loud to have a conversation, but there wasn't really any dancing. That being said, service was great, and it has a really fun 1920's speakeasy vibe!

  I've been to Pravda a couple of times.
  
  First time: 11:30 on a Saturday
  Busy! Good music, basically becomes a club. Had the Russian anthem playing at one point. Kinda surreal (in a strange way).
  
  Second time: Friday 6 pm.
  Happy hour is awesome. The martinis were $6.50 for 2.5oz and they were really well made.
  It was quieter than my first time, but they still had decent music blasting and the restaurant was about half full.
  
  Definitely prefer happy hour over club.

  Had our company holiday party here. Restaurant was very narrow so was not a good location to accommodate large groups of people. Food is decent. Had the steak which came out cold. I know it's more difficult to cater to large group functions but it's not excuse to serve cold steak. However I must say that it was still very good. I heard that it's actually provided by Woods which is near by. Not my kind of place so I wouldn't go back for a meal.

  This second time I went to this pro-Russian/Communist bar, had couple drinks and two Russian thugs approach me, told me to take off my hat and go outside I declined and said no so they threaten me that they will call there friends to beat me inside bar, but they later leave and go outside I could tell they were intoxicatted
  since I am born in Ukraine and I had a yellow blue Ukrainian hat when I entered the bar the two Russian thugs who threatened me were anti Ukraine, and anti polish I could tell since they hated my hat and hated that I was Ukraine since our two countries at war. They were speaking Russian at me i don't know Russian only few words and they have accent in English when they spoke to me they also thought I was polish since they disrespected Poland as well they said hurtful things about me and my country Ukraine and call me swear words, I will never go to this bar again it is communist and pro Russian atmospher inside, and they are anti west it is ironic how the bar is in Canada if they hate west go to Russia. The bar has many pictures of dictator Stalin and Lenin. I did not report to police yet about the two thugs.
  
  Do not go to this bar if you are Ukrainian, Polish, German or any counties that are in NATO or EU they hate you I read on TripAdvisor website that I am not the only people to get threatened inside the bar by Russians, a German has been threatened as well.

  Soviet avant-garde. Thoughtfully designed it's worthy of a miniature Soviet museum. The atmosphere is unique to Toronto, while the clientele is generally amicable, as well.
  
  Service is good by Toronto levels, while traditional Russian dishes are executed well.
  
  Selection of vodka will satisfy all desires.
