  Good alternative to Starbucks. Friendly atmosphere and above-average coffee and espressos. Hard to find seating though as it's so popular recently but Kensington is right there to take a stroll through when it's warm.

  Can't say enough good things about this place. Staff here is amazing, great coffee/espresso/lattes, and even though it's not close proximity to my work anymore I'll still try to make my way here when I have time. It jumps from being super busy to super quiet, so it's a roll of the dice to find a good time if you want to hang out and work/chat for a bit - but even when busy, this place is great. I enjoy the other locations too, but this one is the best.

  There are few better coffee shops to start your day in the city of Toronto. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, always far more cheery than anyone should be at 8 in the morning, and the coffee is spot on. Would recommend the muffins as well. Be sure to take a deep breath and relax in the secret alcove with the fireplace in the back of the shop!

  Really enjoy getting work done here, and the coffee always goes down smooth. The staff are casual enough (albeit a bit impatient if you don't know what you want) and the atmosphere is much more calm than other coffeehouses around the city. Love it!

  Compliments to management and the hiring staff! I was reluctant to leave a review as this is my daily coffee joint that gets 95% of my coffee budget and selfishly didn’t want it to get any busier. Management has added a new machine and extra seating which is fabulous. The lineup of staff is absolutely amazing. My favourite is the British guy as he always makes the atmosphere lively and creates a pleasurable environment. If you are looking for a coffee shop that misspells your name on the cup, creates a cookie cutter relationship, and requires you to learn a new language to order then this is not your place. Jimmy’s Management: If you are ever looking to franchise please let me know, but I want the entire Portland staff. Wallace-Emerson location??
