  Last night my partner and I had the BEST meal that we've had in ages at the wonderful Greta Solomon's! It's impossible to put into words how good the food was. The flavours were incredible - deep and well-developed. The service, lead by the gorgeous and brilliant Darlene Mitchell, was smooth, friendly and polished. The lamb tartare surprised me with the combination of cool minty raita, cumin and harissa dancing together on the plate. I actually got all verklempt when I finished my octopus and saffron rice dish, both because of the perfect little burst of cilantro that finished off my last bite, and because then there was no more left. The cocktails are to die for, especially the lavender sidecar. The wine list is superbly curated. For dessert, we had creme brule and beignets and couldn't have imagined a more delicious way to finish such a meal. I can't praise this restaurant enough. Even the music was perfect, playing classic old Serge Gainsbourg and Edith Piaf tunes. Greta Solomon's is such a treat, and we'll be recommending it to everyone we possibly can!

  Greta Solomon's is a French restaurant with a small but tasty menu.
  
  I tried their tartine bread with butter as well as oysters for appetizers, and had the steak for a main course. Everything was tasty. Some of the oysters had small bits of shell in them, but were otherwise pleasant. The steak was cooked well and had a nice flavor.
  
  Portions were small in my mind, but the rest of my party disagreed and left full.
  
  Service was friendly and efficient.

  Great service. Typical small plate French style menu. Wine list needs updating (vintage dates actual and advertised don't match). Never a good sign when a $80 bottle of wine gets pulled from a shelf above the bar. Invest in a wine fridge. Cellar temperature and room temperature are not the same.
  
  Filet de Boeuf Was cooked to perfection but sauce was a bit bland and starchy. Fish was very good. Not over cooked, moist and well seasoned.
  
  Over all; attentive service and great atmosphere. Food was good to above average but not rock my French world good.
  
  They do some things really well...bathrooms have real hand towels...and some not so well...expresso is from a Keurig type machine.
  
  Had a great time but not sure if I would return. Value for dollar 7/10.
