I love eating at Edwards - the food always exceeds my expectations. I appreciate the unique menu that is offered and I am a sucker for the steak frites - it's so delicious I order it almost every time. The service and hospitality of the wait staff is great and it's nice to have Ed say bye to us as we leave. It is a great place to go for brunch or dinner and I return quite often to dine here.

Incredibly underwhelming and slightly embarrassing. I had previously had brunch at this establishment, excited by the kitchen you can view through the window and the quiet ambiance of the space in between. First time, great service, great food so I invited a friend to join me a second time. Second time, attendants came to the table far too often...it was unnerving and it wasn't like the place was full so they were trying to move us along. Second, asked for "poached eggs" and was told the kitchen doesn't like to make those, they are too busy! Then asked for sparkling water and they brought me this monster cannister (like a fire hose) that you use to pour my own. It shoots the water out under extreme pressure...and was just huge! Then the food came and it was lack lustre, my friend kept saying "now why did you choose this place again?" - the entire experience was awkward for food that was just okay. I was so disappointed and when I asked if they were "trying to move us along", they said no, but just kept hovering. I will not go again.

    A wonderful experience.
I've been to Edward's three times now. The atmosphere is fashionable and the artwork and music is very relaxed. I love this combination.
Add to this the friendly and dedicated service I've had each time, and I feel well looked after.
The menu has a good selection of tastes, and one meal with a shared appetizer is more than enough to feel well satiated.
I've been to a few upscale restaurants in Toronto and around Leslieville, and so far each place has left me feeling like it's upscale just because they charge a lot.
Edward's left me feeling like I was appreciated, and I've never gone home disappointed.

Really great spot! Amazed that it was almost empty on a Sunday night. Server we had was working his first night and did a great job with our group.
The 3 choice antipasto plate was delicious, but as there were 6 of us wish we'd ordered two! All mains were really good. Carrot cake was, as described in may reviews, excellent but best dessert was the lemon pound cake - not at all as stoggy as it sounds! Good wine list, as well! Wish I lived in the area and could drop in more often!

I have been to Edward's numerous times and it has always been a wonderful dining experience. The menu is really fantastic in that it will have new items, but also keeps the classics. Everything tastes fresh, delicious, and high quality. As a vegetarian, I have always had great options here and the chefs kindly accommodate my dietary restrictions.
The atmosphere is perfect, as it is unpretentious, but still feels like a special dining experience.
Edward's is a gem in Toronto!
