  It's a toss up between Duke of Kent and Rose & Crown. Both are great in their own ways. You'll find the typical pub foods with a few exotic twists. Great atmosphere with attentive and friendly staff.

  Their beer and cocktails could be a little less pricey for what you're getting. But staff are prompt and there's time to eat even if you're catching a movie across the street within an hour. The appetizer baskets are cool, but the fried portobello sticks are wet at best and my first order was still cold in the center. New item though, maybe they'll get better. Mini sausage rolls and pogos are cool, as are the nacho sticks, and the orchard salad is the best thing on the menu.

  Its a nice place, very popular because of the location. The poutines are good, nothing compared to those in Montreal but, a decent try!
  The music is not so loud, so it is good for having a conversation with friends.
  Best if you go in TTC, downtown parking is expensive and scarce.

  I love going here if you're looking for a somewhat quiet pub. Mostly locals and they play sporting events. There are two floors and a patio on the side. Beware their is construction on the street where the patio is. Food is ok for a pub, nothing amazing.

  Had several amazing experiences. The servers have all Ben amazing and the management was very accomodating. This is definately a place I will keep coming back to!
